About Kevin

Kevin Leung is a small business owner, school board director, fire rescue board member, and IT expert from Douglas County running to flip a seat in the Colorado Senate this fall. Kevin immigrated to America from Hong Kong and has dedicated his life to serving his community. After years of advocating for his friends and neighbors, Kevin is running for the state Senate to strengthen Colorado’s economy, invest in public schools, and ensure that every family has the opportunity to succeed.

District 30 is shaping up to be one of the toughest state Senate races in Colorado this year, but with the DLCC’s support, Kevin is mounting a strong campaign to flip this must-win seat and help Democrats form a supermajority in the Colorado Senate.

Colorado

2026 is a historic opportunity to build Democratic power in Colorado and establish a supermajority in both chambers of the state legislature.

Colorado Democrats won a trifecta in 2018 when they flipped the state Senate blue and have since made impressive strides in improving the state’s quality of life, including legislation to expand access to affordable housing and health care, protect the environment, strengthen public education, and support working families.

This year, Democrats need to gain three seats in the Colorado House and just one in the Senate to establish a supermajority in each chamber. This would allow constitutional amendments to be placed on the ballot without Republican support – a huge step for democracy on issues such as voting rights and reproductive freedom.

The DLCC is all in to support candidates in the most competitive battleground districts in Colorado, candidates where national grassroots support could give them the edge they need to win tough races and expand Democratic power in Colorado.
