About Jessica
Jessica McClay was born and raised in Wilkes-Barre, where she now serves as Chairwoman of the City Council. Jessica is running to defend an open seat in the Pennsylvania House to help ensure her community continues to get the strong representation it deserves in Harrisburg. As a City Councilwoman, Jessica has fought for working families, collaborating with the Mayor and the city administration to secure essential resources and funding while shifting the financial burden away from taxpayers.
Jessica is running with the endorsement of retiring Democratic incumbent Eddie Day Pashinski, who defended House District 121 as a DLCC Target Race candidate in 2024. This year, Jessica is ready to take up the mantle of fighting for her district and to help Democrats defend their majority in the Pennsylvania House.
Pennsylvania
2026 is a historic opportunity to build power in Pennsylvania by defending our House majority and picking up Senate seats in this key battleground state. After several cycles of hard-fought gains, DLCC is committed to winning and defending Democratic power in Pennsylvania.
Our work this year begins with defending and expanding our majority in the Pennsylvania House, which the DLCC and state Democrats flipped in 2022 and have defended ever since..
We’re also working to gain ground in the Senate, where half of the seats are on the ballot this year. With the legislature under split control, the Pennsylvania Senate GOP majority has rubber-stamped Trump’s disastrous agenda and blocked Democrats from advancing solutions for working families at every opportunity.
