About Brittany
Brittany Bloam is a Pittsburgh-area attorney and working mom running this November to defend an open seat in the Pennsylvania House. Brittany grew up in a small Pennsylvania town in a working-class union family, valuing determination, responsibility, and community. With the support of her parents, she put herself through Gettysburg College and Pitt Law with scholarships, student loans, and part-time jobs, and went on to build a successful legal career focused on problem-solving and helping people navigate complex systems.
District 45’s long-serving Democratic representative, Anita Astorino Kulik, is retiring and has endorsed Brittany as the next champion for this district. With Democrats needing to defend every blue seat in the chamber as the first step to maintain their majority in the Pennsylvania House, it’s critical that this key seat doesn’t fall into Republican hands in 2026.
Pennsylvania
2026 is a historic opportunity to build power in Pennsylvania by defending our House majority and picking up seats in the Senate.
In 2022, Democrats made gains in the Pennsylvania Senate and flipped the House for the first time in over a decade. The momentum from those wins continued to build through 2025 with a string of special election victories defending a narrow blue majority in the state House, and an astounding upset win in the state Senate that saw Democrats flip a district that supported Trump by a double-digit margin in the 2024 presidential election.Â
The DLCC has been on the ground in Pennsylvania cycle after cycle to support state Democrats as we build power in both chambers of the General Assembly.
Pennsylvania remains a true battleground in 2026, and the DLCC and our allies are pulling out all the stops to win competitive races and elect Democrats in the Keystone State.
