About Danielle

Danielle Bell is a community leader and health care advocate from Fulton County running this fall to flip a seat in the Georgia House. Danielle’s campaign is based on her belief that lawmakers should answer to working families, not special interests. Her vision for Georgia’s future is rooted in safe neighborhoods, accessible health care, and quality education, and if she’s elected, Danielle is ready to fight for her vision on the statehouse floor.

Danielle is mounting a strong campaign in a district that has historically favored Republicans but is ready for a change. With national attention and support from the DLCC’s Target Races program, she’s in a prime position to make the race to represent District 44 one of the most competitive state legislative elections in Georgia this year.

Georgia

2026 is a historic opportunity for Democrats to pick up seats in Georgia and build momentum for future majorities.

Georgia has seen Republican trifectas since 2005, but continued efforts from the DLCC and Georgia Democrats have led to victories in both chambers of the Georgia legislature, steadily chipping away at the state’s red majorities.

Over the last several cycles, the DLCC has helped Georgia Democrats make gains in both chambers of the legislature, including 20 seats in the state House over the past decade.

In 2026, building Democratic power in Georgia is more important than ever. A competitive gubernatorial race this year could result in another GOP trifecta, meaning Democrats in the Georgia legislature would remain as the only line of defense against an extreme MAGA agenda.
