Lindsay DeFranco is a nonprofit founder and independent media executive from Fulton County running to flip a seat in the Georgia House in November. Lindsay believes Georgia’s institutions should work for the people, and is running to ensure investments in health care, public safety, and strong communities. A powerful advocate for working families, Lindsay is committed to leading with practical solutions, transparency,  and accountability if elected.

2026 is a historic opportunity for Democrats to pick up seats in Georgia and build momentum for future majorities.

Georgia has seen two decades of GOP control, but continued efforts from the DLCC and Georgia Democrats have led to victories in both chambers of the Georgia legislature, steadily chipping away at the state’s red majorities.

Over the last several cycles, the DLCC has helped Georgia Democrats make gains in both chambers of the legislature, including 20 seats in the state House since Trump’s first election.

In 2026, building Democratic power in Georgia is more important than ever. A competitive gubernatorial race this year could result in another GOP trifecta, meaning Democrats in the Georgia legislature would remain as the only line of defense against an extreme MAGA agenda.
