Eric Gisler

Rep. Eric Gisler is a small business owner and leader in the tech industry from Jonesboro running for reelection to the Georgia House in November. Eric believes that Georgia is at a crossroads and now is the time for lawmakers to make a commitment to do better by their constituents. Eric is dedicated to being part of the solution, and he’s ready to continue bringing a collaborative, data-driven approach to the state legislature, where he’s been a strong champion for working families and all vulnerable Georgians.

Last year Eric won a tightly contested special election to flip his district from red to blue. Now, with the support of the DLCC’s Target Races program, Eric is ready to defend this seat and continue to fight for his constituents in the state House as Democrats look to expand their power.

2026 is a historic opportunity for Democrats to pick up seats in Georgia and build momentum for future majorities.

Georgia has seen Republican trifectas since 2005, but continued efforts from the DLCC and Georgia Democrats have led to victories in both chambers of the Georgia legislature, steadily chipping away at the state’s red majorities.

Over the last several cycles, the DLCC has helped Georgia Democrats make gains in both chambers of the legislature, including 20 seats in the state House over the past decade.

In 2026, building Democratic power in Georgia is more important than ever. A competitive gubernatorial race this year could result in another GOP trifecta, meaning Democrats in the Georgia legislature would remain as the only line of defense against an extreme MAGA agenda.
