Abigail Geer

Abigail Geer is a working mom who grew up in Maine and is running this fall to flip a seat in the Maine House. Throughout her varied career, Abigail has always focused on improving future outcomes, not just on getting the task done. She’s watched her family members struggle with access to health care, childcare costs, and finding good-paying jobs. If she is elected, Abigail is committed to making sure every child in Maine has a world-class education and jobs to graduate into, that families can afford to build their dreams, and that communities have the support they need to thrive.

With the support of the DLCC’s Target Races program, Abigail is well-positioned to defeat District 86’s first-term Republican incumbent and help Democrats expand their majority in the Maine House.

Democrats have held a majority in the Maine Senate since 2018 and in the House since 2012. Despite a tough year for Democrats nationwide in 2024, the DLCC’s work in Maine helped ensure the state legislature stayed blue. Since then, Democrats have built momentum with special election wins and impressive candidate recruitment across the state, and this November, we aren’t taking a single hard-won district for granted as we approach the tightly contested midterms.
