About Scott
Rep. Scott Harriman is a public servant and lifelong Mainer from Lewiston running for reelection to the Maine House in November. Raised on a central Maine dairy farm, Scott embodies the values of hard-working Mainers – doing a job right and figuring out practical solutions to everyday problems. Scott’s commitment to Lewiston ranges beyond the State House, where he also serves on the Lewiston City Council and the Lewiston School Committee. Each day, he works to deliver results for his constituents and all working families in Maine.
Scott won a February special election with the backing of the DLCC’s Target Races program, beating his GOP opponent and protecting a key seat. Now, Scott is ready to defend his seat and help Maine Democrats retain their narrow state House majority.
Maine
2026 is a historic opportunity to protect and expand the Democratic majorities in the Maine House and Senate.
Democrats have held a majority in the Maine Senate since 2018 and in the House since 2012, when the DLCC helped gain 15 seats to flip the chamber. Despite a tough year for Democrats nationwide in 2024, our work in Maine helped ensure the state legislature stayed blue. Since then, Democrats have built momentum with a pair of impressive special election wins, and this November, we aren’t taking a single hard-won district for granted as we approach a tightly contested midterm.Â
The DLCC has been on the ground in Maine cycle after cycle, supporting state Democrats as we work to defend and expand our majorities in both chambers of the legislature.
We cannot take our Democratic majorities in Maine for granted, and 2026 is a critical year to win competitive races and ensure the state stays on a path of progress for years to come.
