About Julie
Sen. Julie Pazina is a business leader from Henderson running this fall for reelection to the Nevada Senate. Julie was elected to the state Senate in 2022, and in her first term, she had more pieces of legislation passed into law than any other freshman legislator and served as Chair of both the Senate Natural Resources committee and Nevada’s first Tourism Caucus. If Julie wins her race in November, she’s committed to continue fighting to bring down the cost of living, expand access to affordable health care, and fund Nevada’s public schools.
Julie flipped District 12 blue in her last election, and this year, with the support of the DLCC’s Target Races program, she’s ready to take on another competitive race and help Democrats defend their majority in the Nevada Senate.
Nevada
2026 is a historic opportunity to build Democratic power in Nevada and establish a blue supermajority in the state Assembly.
Since flipping both chambers of the Nevada legislature in 2016, Democratic leadership has brought sweeping progress to the state, including universal free school meals for students, minimum wage increases, and civil rights protections for women and LGBTQ+ Nevadans.
The DLCC has been on the ground in Nevada cycle after cycle, supporting candidates in the most competitive races to protect Democratic majorities in the state Senate and Assembly.
This year, Democrats in the Nevada Assembly need to gain just one seat to secure a supermajority, bringing them closer to passing key legislation even if a Republican governor attempts to veto it.
With so much work still needed to ensure a bright future for the state, we can’t afford to lose an inch of ground to Republican extremism in Nevada.
