About Lisa

Lisa McIntyre, former President and current Treasurer of the Northville Board of Education, is running to protect a Democrat-held seat in the Michigan House this fall. As a public servant, Lisa has delivered real results. She led efforts to stabilize the school district after the pandemic, spearheaded school safety initiatives and an “away for the day” personal device policy for K-8 students, ensured students and staff had the support they needed, and kept the budget strong while improving the work experience for educators. In the state House, Lisa will continue to be a fierce advocate for public education, students, and working families throughout Michigan.

In what will likely be a close election among many in Democrats’ effort to retake the majority in the Michigan House, Lisa is ready to defend this must-win district with the support of the DLCC.

Michigan

Michigan is one of the most critical battlegrounds in the country.

In 2022, Michigan Democrats flipped both chambers of the state legislature for the first time in over a decade, delivering a Democratic trifecta and passing historic legislation that improved the lives of working families across the state.

In 2024, Republicans narrowly retook the Michigan House — but with Democrats remaining as the majority in the state Senate, the path to a trifecta is within reach in 2026.

With a one-seat Democratic majority in the Senate and a clear path to reclaim the House, strategic investment in these races will determine whether Democrats can restore full control and continue delivering results for Michiganders.
