About Katrina

Katrina Manetta is a community organizer and restaurant server from Shelby Township running to flip a seat in the Michigan House this fall. Katrina was born and raised in Shelby and is deeply attuned to the community’s needs. She refuses to accept broken systems as business as usual. Katrina is passionate about helping her friends and neighbors understand how decisions made by local and state lawmakers affect their daily lives. She’s running to give those people a voice in Lansing, and if elected, she’s committed to supporting public schools, expanding access to quality health care, lowering the cost of living, and helping working families thrive.

District 58 is one of this year’s best opportunities for Democrats to pick up seats in the Michigan House, and Katrina has hit the ground running to capitalize on the support of the DLCC and flip this battleground district blue.

Michigan

Michigan is one of the most critical battlegrounds in the country.

In 2022, Michigan Democrats flipped both chambers of the state legislature for the first time in over a decade, delivering a Democratic trifecta and passing historic legislation that improved the lives of working families across the state.

In 2024, Republicans narrowly retook the Michigan House — but with Democrats remaining as the majority in the state Senate, the path to a trifecta is within reach in 2026.

With a one-seat Democratic majority in the Senate and a clear path to reclaim the House, strategic investment in these races will determine whether Democrats can restore full control and continue delivering results for Michiganders.
