Max Carter

Asm. Max Carter is a labor advocate and Sunrise Manor Town Board member running for reelection to the Nevada Assembly in November. Max is a seasoned negotiator who helped bring renewable energy projects and hundreds of local jobs to fruition and was instrumental in establishing two primary care clinics dedicated to serving union workers. If Max is reelected, he will continue to fight for fair wages, access to health care, and sustainable economic growth for Nevada.

Max is running in one of the most competitive legislative districts in Nevada, where, in both 2022 and 2024, he defeated Republican candidates by a handful of votes. This year, with the support of the DLCC, Max is ready to defend his seat once again and help Democrats build a supermajority in the Nevada Assembly.

2026 is a historic opportunity to build Democratic power in Nevada and establish a blue supermajority in the state Assembly.

Since flipping both chambers of the Nevada legislature in 2016, Democratic leadership has brought sweeping progress to the state, including universal free school meals for students, minimum wage increases, and civil rights protections for women and LGBTQ+ Nevadans.

The DLCC has been on the ground in Nevada cycle after cycle, supporting candidates in the most competitive races to protect Democratic majorities in the state Senate and Assembly.

This year, Democrats in the Nevada Assembly need to gain just one seat to secure a supermajority, bringing them closer to passing key legislation even if a Republican governor attempts to veto it.

With so much work still needed to ensure a bright future for the state, we can’t afford to lose an inch of ground to Republican extremism in Nevada.
