About Wayne
Rep. Wayne Farrin is a real estate agent and small business owner from Jefferson running for reelection to the Maine House in November. Wayne is accustomed to wearing many hats, whether it’s helping his fellow Mainers find their forever home, working the cash register at his family’s general store, or fighting for his constituents in the legislature. Maine’s working families need someone willing to roll up their sleeves and get the job done, and Wayne is ready to keep working for the future of his home state.Â
In 2024, Wayne flipped his district in a highly competitive race decided by just over 200 votes. This year, with the help of the DLCC’s Target Races program, he has an excellent chance to defend his seat and the Democrats’ majority in the Maine House.
Maine
2026 is a historic opportunity to protect and expand the Democratic majorities in the Maine House and Senate.
Democrats have held a majority in the Maine Senate since 2018 and in the House since 2012, when the DLCC helped gain 15 seats to flip the chamber. Despite a tough year for Democrats nationwide in 2024, our work in Maine helped ensure the state legislature stayed blue. Since then, Democrats have built momentum with a pair of impressive special election wins, and this November, we aren’t taking a single hard-won district for granted as we approach a tightly contested midterm.Â
The DLCC has been on the ground in Maine cycle after cycle, supporting state Democrats as we work to defend and expand our majorities in both chambers of the legislature.
We cannot take our Democratic majorities in Maine for granted, and 2026 is a critical year to win competitive races and ensure the state stays on a path of progress for years to come.
