Rep. Mandy Steele, a nonprofit founder from Fox Chapel, is running to defend her seat in the Pennsylvania House this November. Mandy grew up in the district she represents, broke barriers as the first woman ever elected to her borough’s council, and as a state legislator, she leads the charge on legislation to protect personal freedom and uplift Pennsylvania’s working families. 

Mandy flipped her district with the backing of the DLCC Target Races program by an impressive margin in 2022, helping Democrats win a majority in the Pennsylvania House. Now, Mandy is ready to step up again to help defend and expand this Democratic majority in the Keystone State.

2026 is a historic opportunity to build power in Pennsylvania by defending our House majority and picking up seats in the Senate.

In 2022, Democrats made gains in the Pennsylvania Senate and flipped the House for the first time in over a decade. The momentum from those wins continued to build through 2025 with a string of special election victories defending a narrow blue majority in the state House, and an astounding upset win in the state Senate that saw Democrats flip a district that supported Trump by a double-digit margin in the 2024 presidential election. 

The DLCC has been on the ground in Pennsylvania cycle after cycle to support state Democrats as we build power in both chambers of the General Assembly.

Pennsylvania remains a true battleground in 2026, and the DLCC and our allies are pulling out all the stops to win competitive races and elect Democrats in the Keystone State.
