About Mark

Rep. Mark Sigrist, a former Grove City council member, is running to protect his seat in the Ohio House this fall. Mark was elected on a platform centered on infrastructure investment, effective public service, and support for working families. As a legislator, Mark has focused on advancing bipartisan legislation and, if reelected, will continue delivering tangible results for both his community and the state.

In 2024, Mark flipped this highly competitive seat. This year, he’s ready to defend District 10 and help Democrats expand their power in the Ohio House.

Ohio

After over 15 years of Republican trifecta control of the Ohio state government, 2026 is a historic opportunity to build Democratic power in the General Assembly and break the long-standing GOP supermajority in the Ohio House.

The DLCC has worked with state allies in Ohio to identify legislative districts with vulnerable Republican incumbents, key blue seats to protect, and Democratic candidates most likely to win in highly competitive races across the state.

Ohio Democrats need a gain of just six seats in the state House to break a Republican supermajority that has obstructed progress for over a decade and rubber-stamped disastrous MAGA policies that have eroded personal freedoms, disenfranchised voters, and driven up the cost of living for all Ohioans.

This year, Democrats are running in ninety-seven of ninety-nine state House districts in Ohio. Now is the time to rally behind Democratic candidates who are ready to bring the fight to Republicans and challenge their grip on power in the Buckeye State.
