Missouri
Senate: GOP Supermajority
House: GOP Supermajority
Missouri is on the DLCC’s 2026 Target Map.
2026 is a historic opportunity to break the GOP supermajorities in the Missouri House and Senate. Democrats need to gain 3 House seats and 2 Senate seats to break both GOP supermajorities.
Missouri’s GOP supermajorities have doubled down on anti-abortion extremism. Republicans put a constitutional amendment to ban abortion on the 2026 ballot, even though voters enshrined abortion rights in the state constitution in 2024. Additionally, Missouri Republicans cheated the system to rig their congressional maps in 2025, in a blatant show of extremism and loyalty to Trump.
The DLCC will be targeting competitive races across the state and sharing more info on DLCC Target Races in Missouri soon.
