2026 is a historic opportunity to break the GOP supermajorities in the Missouri House and Senate. Democrats need to gain three House seats and two Senate seats to break both GOP supermajorities.
Missouri’s GOP supermajorities have used their unchecked power to attack Missourians’ rights and silence voters. They keep trying to ban abortion even though voters added those rights to the state constitution in 2024. Additionally, Missouri Republicans cheated the system to rig their congressional maps in 2025, in a blatant show of partisanship and loyalty to Trump.
The DLCC is launching 16 Target Races across the state of Missouri to break the GOP supermajorities in the Missouri House and Senate – and the 2026 midterm elections are our once-in-a-generation opportunity to do so. The MAGA state majorities have betrayed their constituents time after time, while state Democrats are united in working to uplift all Missourians. Learn more about these critical Target Races below:
