Florida is on the DLCC’s 2026 Target Map

After years of unchecked Republican power, 2026 is a historic opportunity to build power in red states all across the country, including breaking the toxic GOP supermajorities in the Florida House and Senate.

Across both chambers, 11 Democratic flips will end the GOP supermajorities and give Florida Democrats more leverage to fight against the extreme Republican leadership in the state.

Florida’s GOP supermajorities have recklessly rubber-stamped Trump’s disastrous agenda, turned a blind eye to the insurance crisis, cut Medicaid access for seniors, and demolished economic opportunity for Floridians.

Florida Republicans are also planning to rig the congressional maps this spring, and breaking the supermajorities would weaken the GOP’s power ahead of 2030 redistricting.

The DLCC will be targeting competitive races across the state and sharing more info on DLCC Target Races in Florida soon.
