Judge Chris Taylor’s victory would grow the liberal majority to 5-2 and secure the majority until at least 2030
WASHINGTON — Today, the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) designated Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate Judge Chris Taylor as a Spotlight candidate ahead of her crucial race on April 7th. Flipping this seat would give liberals a 2-seat majority and guarantee liberal control of the court until at least 2030. The stakes are high as the court considers and shapes key issues affecting Wisconsinites, including redistricting.
That’s why DLCC is maxing out with a five-figure investment to the candidate ahead of this race. Breaking the conservative court majority in 2023 and defending it in 2025 were instrumental to ending over a decade of Republican gerrymandering that locked state legislative Democrats out of power. This Supreme Court race can help protect Democratic progress and set the tone heading into competitive races up and down the ticket in Wisconsin.

Judge Chris Taylor serves on the Wisconsin Court of Appeals and is running for the Wisconsin Supreme Court this April. Chris is a former Wisconsin State Assemblymember who has dedicated her career to protecting the rights of all people. If elected, Chris will bring that same dedication to Wisconsin’s highest court and strengthen the court’s pro-freedom, pro-democracy majority.
