Joey Andrews

Rep. Joey Andrews is an attorney and a fourth-generation small business owner running for reelection to the Michigan House. After finishing law school, Joey returned home to Southwestern Michigan to help his parents guide the family business through the Great Recession and saw how many of his friends and neighbors were struggling too. This experience solidified his commitment to Michigan working families, paving the way for him to champion legislation on issues including labor rights, eliminating income-based housing discrimination, and government accountability & transparency.

Joey mounted successful campaigns as a DLCC Target Race candidate for the Michigan House in 2022 and 2024, and now he’s ready to keep up the fight for a third time while continuing to work to uplift all Michiganders.

Michigan stands as one of the most critical battlegrounds in the country.

In 2022, Michigan Democrats flipped both chambers of the state legislature for the first time in over a decade, delivering a Democratic trifecta and passing historic legislation that improved the lives of working families across the state.

In 2024, Republicans narrowly retook the Michigan House — but Democrats maintained control of the Senate, keeping the path to a trifecta within reach.

With a one-seat Democratic majority in the Senate and a clear path to reclaim the House, strategic early investment in these races will determine whether Democrats can restore full control and continue delivering results.
