Mishael White

Mishael White is a commercial truck driver, small business owner, and community advocate running this fall to flip a seat in the Georgia House. Mishael is inspired to help bring real change to his community through hard work and responsive leadership that puts working families first. Mishael is ready to get to work improving life for everyday Georgians by championing legislation to update critical infrastructure, fully fund public education and trade schools, and create sustainable economic opportunities for all. 

Mishael is challenging a one-term incumbent who flipped District 81 in 2024. He’s mounting a strong campaign with the DLCC’s support to reclaim this seat for Democrats and build power in the Georgia House.

2026 is a historic opportunity for Democrats to pick up seats in Georgia and build momentum for future majorities.

Georgia has seen two decades of GOP control, but continued efforts from the DLCC and Georgia Democrats have led to victories in both chambers of the Georgia legislature, steadily chipping away at the state’s red majorities.

Over the last several cycles, the DLCC has helped Georgia Democrats make gains in both chambers of the legislature, including 20 seats in the state House since Trump’s first election.

In 2026, building Democratic power in Georgia is more important than ever. A competitive gubernatorial race this year could result in another GOP trifecta, meaning Democrats in the Georgia legislature would remain as the only line of defense against an extreme MAGA agenda.
