Kathy Suttles

Kathy Suttles is a U.S. Army veteran, mortgage professional, and community advocate running to flip a seat in the Oklahoma House in November. Kathy joined the Army and, after 10 years of service, returned to Oklahoma. For the past 25 years, Kathy has worked to help families navigate complex systems and achieve home ownership. She believes in serving others with the same care and respect she would give her own family, and, if elected, Kathy will fight for legislation to lower the cost of living and uplift all Oklahomans.

Kathy is running in one of the most competitive districts in Oklahoma, and, with support from the DLCC, she’s ready to maximize this opportunity to flip a seat and build Democratic power in the Oklahoma House.

2026 brings a historic opportunity to build Democratic power in Oklahoma, where, for years, Republican supermajorities in both chambers of the state legislature have rubber-stamped Trump’s extremist agenda. 

The work of taking back power in red states requires consistent effort, cycle over cycle, seat by seat. The DLCC has been on the ground in Oklahoma, working with state Democrats to identify the most flippable districts, recruit strong Democratic candidates, and protect blue strongholds.
