Jess Goldoni

Jess Goldoni was born and raised in Omaha, built a 20-year career across healthcare, law, finance, and technology, and is running to flip a seat in the Nebraska Legislature this fall. Jess put herself through college and went on to manage billion-dollar budgets, lead complex teams, and help families and small businesses cut through red tape. Jess believes leadership means listening first, building coalitions, and focusing on practical solutions. She’s running to lower costs, strengthen schools and families, and move Nebraska forward with discipline, optimism, and common sense.

This year’s race to represent District 18 is shaping up to be one of the most competitive in the state, and Jess Goldoni is stepping up with the support of the DLCC to bring fair, honest leadership to the Nebraska Legislature.

2026 is a critical opportunity to protect progressive footholds in the Nebraska legislature and ensure Republicans cannot rig the system to secure themselves a critical Electoral College vote in presidential elections.

Nebraska is home to the smallest state legislature in the country, with just 49 state senators, and is one of only two states with a split electoral vote system. This has given Democratic presidential candidates a path to pick up an Electoral College vote in a historically red state.

Efforts to eliminate Omaha’s “Blue Dot” in presidential elections jeopardize the nonpartisan balance in Nebraska, but a gain of just one additional seat would give Democrats the power to stop an extremist push for a winner-take-all system that would rig the rules in Republicans’ favor. 

This year, the stakes in Nebraska couldn’t be higher. The DLCC has identified the races that will have the most impact on state and national power, and now is the time to rally together and support progress in Nebraska.
