About Kristin
Kristin Egan is a teacher, school board director, and former union leader from Bucks County running this fall to flip a seat in the Pennsylvania House. Kristin has served as a public school English teacher for over 20 years, dedicating her career to advocating for students and their families. After decades of working directly with Pennsylvania families, Kristin is ready to be a strong champion in Harrisburg for greater access to education and health care, while fighting to lower the cost of living.
For years, Republicans have represented House District 142 and failed to stand up for their constituents. Now, Kristin is challenging the status quo with the support of the DLCC’s Target Races program and is running to give her community strong representation and help Democrats expand their majority in the Pennsylvania House.
Pennsylvania
2026 is a historic opportunity to build power in Pennsylvania by defending our House majority and picking up seats in the Senate.
In 2022, Democrats made gains in the Pennsylvania Senate and flipped the House for the first time in over a decade. The momentum from those wins continued to build through 2025 with a string of special election victories defending a narrow blue majority in the state House, and an astounding upset win in the state Senate that saw Democrats flip a district that supported Trump by a double-digit margin in the 2024 presidential election.Â
The DLCC has been on the ground in Pennsylvania cycle after cycle to support state Democrats as we build power in both chambers of the General Assembly.
Pennsylvania remains a true battleground in 2026, and the DLCC and our allies are pulling out all the stops to win competitive races and elect Democrats in the Keystone State.
