Adam Cleveland is an attorney and small business owner from Johns Creek running to flip a seat in the Georgia House this fall. Adam is stepping up to represent his community in the state House because he’s ready to put his legal experience to work, help lower the cost of living, expand access to affordable health care, and fight to protect the rights of all Georgians. 

Adam’s District is a prime example of where Democrats can expand their power in 2026. The Republican-held seat is more competitive than ever, and with the DLCC’s support, Adam is well-positioned to secure a Democratic victory in this pivotal district.

After more than two decades of GOP control, 2026 is a historic opportunity for Democrats to pick up seats in Georgia and build momentum for future majorities.

Georgia has seen Republican trifectas since 2005, but continued efforts from the DLCC and Georgia Democrats have led to victories in both chambers of the Georgia legislature, steadily chipping away at the state’s red majorities.

Over the last several cycles, the DLCC has helped Georgia Democrats make gains in both chambers of the legislature, including 20 seats in the state House and 5 in the Senate over the past decade.

This year, building Democratic power in Georgia is more important than ever. A competitive gubernatorial race this year could result in another GOP trifecta, meaning Democrats in the Georgia legislature would remain as the only line of defence against an extreme MAGA agenda.
