DLCC Target Races are a core part of our national strategy to protect, expand, and build Democratic power across America’s state legislatures.

These are the highest-stakes elections at this ballot level and are must-win campaigns to continue building Democratic power. With different election schedules in different states and special elections on a nearly weekly basis, there are active DLCC Target Races at almost every point in the year.

Since 2017, the DLCC has designated over 1,200 Target Races across all 50 states, and brought attention, resources, and support to candidates who are ready to win.
