In 2025, Democrats clinched victory up and down the ticket in New Jersey as voters decisively rejected Republicans’ extremism and backed Democratic leadership.
Democrats won 57 seats in the Assembly, winning the supermajority for the first time since the 2017 election and the most Democratic seats in over 50 years. The DLCC identified New Jersey as a priority early in 2025 and partnered with state Democrats to build a top-notch program competing across a dozen of the most competitive races across all parts of the state.
The DLCC will continue partnering with New Jersey Democrats to build power and defend progress in their state in future elections.

The DLCC identified New Jersey as a priority early in 2025 by investing six figures and spotlighting 12 of the most competitive races. Democrats won every single Target Race and flipped 4 seats, securing the largest Democratic majority in over 50 years.
