Indiana
Senate: GOP Supermajority
House: GOP Supermajority
Indiana is on the DLCC’s 2026 Target Map.
2026 is a historic opportunity to break the GOP supermajority in the Indiana House. Democrats need to gain 4 House seats to break the GOP supermajority. Democrats have already recruited candidates in a record 91 out of 100 districts, a signal of Democratic momentum on the ground.Â
Indiana’s GOP supermajority has supported Republicans’ disastrous Medicaid cuts that are threatening the state’s hospitals and pushing health care out of reach for families. Democrats must break the supermajority to ensure extreme legislation is fully out of reach for the GOP.
The DLCC will be targeting competitive races across the state and sharing more info on DLCC Target Races in Indiana soon.
