Alaska is on the DLCC’s 2026 Target Map. Democrats in the Alaska Legislature are currently the majority in the bipartisan governing coalitions that are focused on delivering for the people of the state. Our priority is to defend these governing coalitions and keep extreme Republicans out of power in the legislature. 

The DLCC is committed to defending these coalitions by supporting key races to build power in both the Alaska House and Senate. Keeping extreme Republicans out of power and maintaining the majority-Democrat governing coalitions in both chambers will provide further opportunities to increase education funding, invest in public safety, support economic development, and reduce costs for everyday Alaskans.

Meet the DLCC’s Alaska Target Race Candidates

The DLCC is launching six Target Races in Alaska to defend and strengthen our bipartisan governing coalitions. These candidates for the Alaska House are running to flip seats and fight for their communities in the state legislature. The DLCC is all hands on deck ahead of November to ensure the strong campaigns and infrastructure needed to reach voters and defend these critical coalitions in both chambers.
