Target Race Launch: DLCC Highlights Another High-Stakes Pennsylvania Senate Contest

Pennsylvania is a top battleground state on the DLCC’s historic 2026 Target Map

WASHINGTON — The Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) today designated Mark Pinsley as a Target Race candidate in Pennsylvania’s 16th Senate District, joining 22 Target Race candidates previously announced in Pennsylvania ahead of critical elections this November. The DLCC’s Target Races represent the most competitive and consequential contests across the state. The DLCC is working directly with the Pennsylvania Senate Democratic Campaign Committee and Target Race candidates to deliver support and resources for campaigns across the commonwealth.

With a historic opportunity and ambitious Target Map in 2026 to make significant gains in state legislatures all across the country, Pennsylvania is one of our best opportunities to defend a critical chamber majority in the House and pick up seats in the Senate.

Mark Pinsley (SD-16), a U.S. Army Reserve veteran, small business owner, and Lehigh County Controller, is running to flip a seat in the Pennsylvania Senate in November. Mark uses his financial expertise to serve his community and ensure fiscal accountability in Lehigh County. Now he’s ready to stand up for all Pennsylvanians, and, if he is elected to the state Senate, he’ll use every possible opportunity to champion working families.
