WASHINGTON — This week, Florida Republicans ludicrously claimed that when Democratic legislators in Florida staged a sit-in on the House floor to protest Republican Governor Ron Desantis’ proposed redistricting maps, they were “staging an insurrection” that was “far worse than what happened on January 6.”
