BREAKING: DLCC Flips Minnesota House and Defends Senate, Wins Democratic Trifecta

Despite massive Republican spending, Democrats create new blue firewall in a critical battleground ahead of the presidential elections 

WASHINGTON — In one of the country’s most competitive state legislatures, the DLCC and Minnesota DFL have routed Republicans by flipping the House and defending the Senate majority. With Amy Klobuchar also elected as governor, Democrats have now won a trifecta, opening the door for progress and for Democrats to deliver on a brighter future for the people of Minnesota.

The Minnesota Legislature was a top target for both Democrats and Republicans this cycle, and despite the GOP pouring millions into the state, they have little to show for their efforts. On a record-breaking night for Democrats across the country, Minnesota proved what is possible when we invest at the state legislative ballot level—solidifying durable Democratic power to protect voting and civil rights, oversee elections, and shape redistricting maps.
