The DLCC’S goal for its Finance Council events and programming is to create productive and collaborative opportunities for member organizations and Democratic state legislative leaders to connect, share information and ideas, and build relationships that allow for conversations around the critical issues of the day. Everyone participating in the event is expected to be considerate and respectful to ensure that all attendees are comfortable participating in all portions of the event. This code of conduct outlines our expectations for participant behavior to create a positive event experience for all attendees.
- All attendees are expected to be respectful while participating in all aspects of the DLCC’s programming, including during policy presentations, breakout sessions, individual meetings, and at social portions of the event.
- The DLCC does not tolerate any behavior that is disruptive, disrespectful, or degrading to others during any interaction, including during presentations and breakout discussions.
- Any data presented on materials during any portion of the event should provide full and accurate citing of its source.
- Q&A portions of our policy sessions will be reserved for legislators to ask questions to allow for productive conversations in the limited time available.
- Some of the information provided in our policy sessions is confidential. We ask that attendees refrain from posting on social media and video recording during these sessions.
- Attendees are expected to check in with DLCC staff upon arrival and name tags must be worn at all times to gain admittance to sessions or social portions of the event.
Attendees are expected to exercise common sense in personal interactions. They should extend common courtesy and mutual respect to fellow attendees and staff members, as well as respect for private property. Harassing or offensive behavior will not be tolerated. The DLCC reserves the right to revoke the attendance and badge of any attendee not in compliance with this policy.
Persons finding themselves in a situation where they feel their safety is at risk or who become aware of an attendee not in compliance with this policy should immediately find a member of the DLCC staff so that the matter can be addressed.
