BREAKING: DLCC Flips Michigan House, Wins a Democratic Trifecta

Despite massive Republican spending, Michigan Democrats deliver a blue trifecta in this critical battleground state

WASHINGTON — In a colossal victory, the DLCC and Michigan Democrats have flipped the House and defended their Senate majority. Winning full control of the Michigan Legislature was a top priority for the DLCC this cycle. With Jocelyn Benson also elected as governor, Democrats have now won a trifecta for only the second time since 1982. 

The DLCC has worked cycle after cycle to build governing power in this ultra-competitive state. Michigan Democrats ran for every single seat and connected with voters to overcome millions in Republican spending and flipped this critical swing state fully blue. On a record-breaking night for Democrats across the country, Michigan proved what is possible when we invest at the state legislative ballot level—building and defending durable Democratic power across the map.
