BREAKING: DLCC Expands Pennsylvania House Majority

Democrats have won durable power in a critical battleground state

WASHINGTON — In one of the most competitive state legislatures in the country, the DLCC and Pennsylvania Democrats have won enough seats to expand their crucial House majority. Democrats have fiercely defended this House majority since flipping the chamber in 2022 and have now grown their majority. With Josh Shapiro in the Governor’s office, a strong Democratic House majority will serve as a critical governing partner to deliver for Pennsylvanians and will stand as a bulwark to block the worst of the MAGA agenda.

The DLCC has worked hand in hand with our partners in Pennsylvania to defend this consequential chamber majority. On a record-breaking night for Democrats across the country, Pennsylvania proved what is possible when we invest at the state legislative ballot level—solidifying durable Democratic power to protect voting and civil rights, oversee elections, and shape redistricting maps.
