Democrat Christine Pellegrino flipped Assembly District 9, adding another seat to Democrats’ sizable majority in the chamber and becoming the second red-to-blue pickup of the Trump era. Democrat Brian Benjamin won the special election in Senate District 30, giving Democrats a majority in the 63-seat chamber.
