Hate to say it, but I'm going to miss the guy. Sure he was rude, verbose, and wrong, but he was far more irritating and embarrassing to Republicans than he was to Democrats.
I served the term with him and actually appreciated some of his comments. For instance, while most of his caucus would spin their opposition to public education and talk about more testing, higher standards and eliminating waste, Bruce was honest: "Why would I put money into public schools, i don't have any kids."
Another time he suggested that he would support some spending if we took the money from children's health care, or something like that, but he didn't want business paying for it.
For the other side, it was kind of like that movie where Jim Carrey has to tell the truth.
