Throughout the coming weeks, the DLCC will unveil a list of 40 key races for state legislature around the country. This is not a list of every campaign we expect to be close - there are hundreds of those. Rather, these are 40 critical races that we anticipate will show which way the political tide is turning this fall.

But we recognize our own limitations. There are plenty of other key races all across the country -- so we're asking for your help in identifying them.

For the next few weeks, we will accept nominations for an additional 10 races to go on our Essential Races list.
